There are many ideas to consider when remodeling your bathroom. For someone who would like to have an upscale bath the options are endless. Not to mention all of the bathroom light fixture options available! A bathroom has become a place for relaxation and glamour, rather than just a necessary room. It is hard to believe that people used outhouses at one time.
Tile is probably the most popular material used when remodeling and can be used on walls, ceilings and floors. There a numerous sizes and types of tiles such as granite, mosaic and even glass. The color of tiles can range from black and white, neutrals, to bright blue. Using larger tiles the walls with strips of small decorative tiles throughout is always pretty. There a different color grouts that can add to the beauty of the tiles. One idea is to have a granite floor to accent the tile and this will add much pizzazz to your bath. For a totally first class bathroom, LED lights can be imbedded into tiles to illuminate a path or just for the beauty of them around the tub and shower.
For extreme comfort heat the bathroom floor and never have to step onto a cold floor again. Also, towel warmers are a great comfort item.
Steam shower units are great for those who want a relaxing shower that will benefit your health. There are also multi-jet systems that are popular. A separate tub can be either a claw foot, whirlpool, Soft (padded) Bathtub, for special needs a walk-in tub. For the elite, try a Chromatherapy tub which will make your bathroom look like and feel like a dream. A TV can be added to be viewed from the tub if you just can’t miss that show.
For vanity selections you can decide on having one sink, two sinks, sinks that sit on top, sinks that are half on top, and sinks that sit above the vanity that look like they are floating. Another option is to have two separate one sink vanities sitting side by side.
For a large bath, a window seat is a wonderful item. This can be accented with pillows, books, etc. and can be very useful and a comfortable place to sit. It also adds to the beauty and class of the bathroom.
