Cosmopolitan IS Now Open to the Public in Las Vegas, Nevada
The Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino (affectionately identified as COSMO, our next door neighbor) skillfully and formally opened their business on December 15th, 2010 at approximately 8:00 pm. Media teams were circulated outside and Las Vegas Blvd. clamored with delight. The Grand Opening Event was held on December 31st, 2010. Music was virtually actively playing from the roof tops filling the Blvd. inhabitants with the New Years Eve feeling. Cosmo has furnished our Las Vegas Blvd. entry signs with some scenery heading towards north door.
Personal Auto parking is at present at one's disposal for all Jockey Club owners and invitees. Level 3 B parking zone within the Cosmo’s 5 story subterranean auto parking structure is the proclaimed space for all Jockey Club automobiles. Level 3 B is the solitary level of the parking structure that the Jockey Club elevators are established to be able to access your "home away from home". Immediately after Jockey Club enthusiasts park on the level 3B, you will take delight in utilizing one of the two Jockey Club centrally nestled on the north wall of the development designated and named elevators to the 1st floor or 2nd floor. Then move forward to either the main receiving area or pool deck (pool doors are key card entry) section of the Jockey Club. These elevators will also access the Cosmopolitan’s Casino areas as they both open on the south to the north and vice versa.
As you may know the Cosmopolitan has invested approximately 8 million dollars into the Jockey Club to date. It commenced with upgrading the Fire Protection System equipment. Though we were code compliant with fire safety, renovations were advantageous outcome of the nearby proximity of the new Cosmo. All common space and interiors of each suite was retrofitted with sprinklers, strobes and speakers for announcing potential events. The latest emergency power generators as well as multiple water tanks have been added and all fire exiting has been redirected to the north drive. The water softening system tanks have been moved from underground to two gigantic above ground installations. Demolition of open space not useful beneath our pool area deck has been executed.
Both Ascot and Derby Tower entrances have been transferred from the south side to the north side of both complexes detailed with complementing marble and brass entry doors. The Porte Cochere (key entrance overhang drive up) was built with natural stone drive up, stone faced pillars, stained cement sidewalks, and Valet presentation space and bell storage area. Our waste chutes were outfitted with 2 compactors allowing for 4 dumpsters worth of waste to be distributed into one carrier. The gas meters and power boxes are already moved to a more ideal site. The “team member only” behind-the-scenes movement space has been upgraded for easier entrance from building to building with linens and large cleaning tools.
The computer functionality for the inner workings of the Jockey Club was moved to the far west end of the Derby tower ground level. Cosmo has paid for the 24/7 Valet Parking assistance and the 2 years of overflow parking at the Planet Hollywood; however, Cosmo will stop paying for the Jockey Club Valet services upon the launching of the new resort. They have repaved the overall north drive with all new blacktop. 75 daily pool passes have been issued for Jockey Club owners and guests to use on the main Bamboo pool and sun veranda area of the Cosmo as well as the two Jockey Club tennis surfaces that have been shifted to the Cosmo roof top. Certainly, there are progressive points to check out in 2011.
