The Importance of Internet Security

If your computer is connected to the Internet all the time and if you use the Internet frequently, you should definitely get some form of extra protection for your computer. Internet is filled with people who use it to spread malicious programs and such, so you have to be very careful while using your computer and Internet and also in making sure that your computer is protected all the time. It is recommended that you install a Security suite on your computer for an extra protection. However, not all Security suite are good. Find out which Security suites to be avoided.

Internet Security Suites To Be Avoided

See below for the list of Internet Security suites we don't recommend:

1. CA Internet Security Suite Plus

This is a security software made by an Australian company. Taken from their official website, they described this software as "easy-to-use, fast all-in-one PC Security Suite designed to protect your personal information, data files, and your family from threats on the web." That's what they claimed on their website, but really, this suite is a resource hogger, your computer will run very slow soon as you install this suite on your computer. Their claim of "fast all-in-one PC Security Suite" is actually the very opposite. Even the fastest computer could get really slow when running this suite. Not only that, this program could make booting time take forever. It extends your computer's booting time and sometimes your computer just stops responding on boot and you'd need to force reboot.

CA Internet Security Suite also has a very bad detection, sometimes detecting good programs as bad ones, and sometimes silently blocking these "good" programs without you knowing. CA Internet Security Suite Plus seems like it's still in Beta stage when it is supposedly a fully-functional security program ready to be used to protect your computer and Internet activities. I won't risk my life for this program, it's best to avoid it and try other more reliable security program. And it certainly doesn't help that their website also looks like it needs a little help with the design.

2. Comodo Internet Security

Taken from their product page on their official website, Comodo claimed that this software is the "multi-layered security application that keeps hackers out and personal information in". And so they claimed. This suite by Comodo is seriously another resource hogger of a lifetime, for crying out loud. Various problems have been reported by users of this program saying that this suite makes their computer unresponsive. Users also claimed that Comodo Internet Security crashes their computer frequently. To me all these Comodo problems you're having aren't worth it. This program is not only a resource hogger, it also doesn't do its job right.

In the end these programs actually don't really protect you from virus, malicious software, or the likes, but instead damaging your computer instead.
